Options for treatment include elimination diets, enzymes and healing the gut.
5:30pm - 7:00pm - "Vaccines, Autism and Illness: Indisputable Evidence of Injury"
Mary Tocco Theory of vaccination versus natural immunity. Vaccine production and ingredients. Vaccine safety studies and efficacy. Side effects of vaccination. Toxicity concerns, including thimerosal and aluminum. How are vaccines linked to autism, ADD, asthma, diabetes, SIDS and microvascular ischemia.
Saturday, November 6, 2010 7 hours and 45 minutes of training 8:30am - 10:15am - "Part one: Understanding the Neuropathophysiology of ASD"
Greg Fors, DC To properly treat a child on the spectrum is vital to understand what is actually happening to their central nervous system. If not, we can fall prey to utilizing treatments that may not be addressing the underlying pathology the child faces. Learn what the latest neurometabolic and neuroimaging studies have to say about these complex disorders.
10:30am - 1:15pm - "Part two: The Neurological Workup of the ASD Toddler and Child"
Greg Fors, DC When treating a toddler or child with ASD, it is vital to do a proper neurological assessment for their age of their CNS. Not only does this give you a better understanding of the child, it allows you to use benchmarks to follow their progress. Without the proper neurological exam, you really have no idea what you are treating metabolically!
2:30pm - 3:00pm - "The Role of Deficient Essential Fats, Cholesterol and Vitamin D in ASD"
Elizabeth Mumper, MD The role of deficient essential fats, vitamin D and cholesterol and ASD. Fatty acid metabolism indicators. Normal fat metabolism. Symptoms of EFA deficiency. Testing for EFA deficiency, vitamin D and cholesterol and appropriate supplementation.
3:00pm - 4:00pm -"The Role of Heavy Metals in ASD, Testing, Interpretation and Treatment"
Nicola McFadzean, N.D. Role of Heavy Metals in ASD. Sources of heavy metals in environment. Maternal heavy metal burden and the effects on the newborn child. Gender susceptibility to heavy metals. Methods for testing for heavy metal burden. Methods of chelation and chelating agents. Possible side effects of chelation
4:15pm - 5:15pm - "Immune System Dysfunction and Neuroinflammation in ASD. Testing, Interventions and Treatment"
Elizabeth Mumper, M.D. Immune System Dysfunction and Neuroinflammation in ASD. Normal Immune Balance. Immune Dysregulation in ASD and possible causes. Testing for immune system deficiency and dysregulation. Intervention for immune dysregulation. Vicious cycles of Inflammation. Causes of Neuroinflammation and testing for neuroinflammation. Nutritional supplements for Neuroinflammation.
5:15pm - 6:00pm - "My Three Children-From Birth to Regression to Recovery"
Wyndie Mileski A mother's account of the case studies of his three children. All three children suffered varying degrees of autism spectrum disorder. Through the use of BioNutritional Care and Chiropractic Care over the course of a couple of years, his children have all recovered from autism
Sunday, November 7, 2010 5 hours and 30 minutes of training 8:00am - 9:15am- "Impaired Detoxification, Metabolism and Oxidative stress and ASD, Testing and Treatment"

Nutritional supplements for oxidative stress. ASD and Methylation disturbances, the rationale behind the use of Methyl B12. Mitochondrial dysfunction and ASD. Causes of mitochondrial dysfunction. Testing for mitochondrial dysfunction. Nutritional Supplementation for mitochondrial dysfunction.
9:15am - 10:45am - "Targeted Applications for Nutritional Supplements"

12:15pm - 1:15pm - "Care for Preconception"
Maureen McDonnell, R.N. The state of a woman's health during pregnancy has a large influence on the health of her child. In this toxic environment, preconception care will become a very important part of healthcare. It is of utmost importance that a woman desiring to have a healthy pregnancy and child consider her body burden of toxins, including heavy metals, that she have optimum body function, and not be nutritionally deficient.
